PICCO Structures proudly announces the addition of Dr. Tibor Kokai, P.Eng, as a Senior Advisor to our growing team. With a distinguished career spanning several decades, Tibor stands out as a preeminent structural engineer in Canada, known for his extensive expertise in the design of reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, finite element analysis, advanced structural steel systems, and seismic and dynamic analysis. His work has influenced the residential, commercial, and institutional sectors, collaborating with top domestic and international architects. Tibor also boasts a rich academic background and is currently a titular Associate Professor at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary, teaching a master’s course in designing tall, supertall, and complex buildings. His professional journey includes pivotal roles at leading Canadian engineering firms and significant contributions to the CSA Standard A23.3 and the Concrete Design Handbook. Tibor was appointed a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, recognized for distinguished achievements and contributions to advancing the engineering profession. With his remarkable expertise and experience, Tibor is an invaluable addition to the PICCO Structures team.
